Would you like to work in the exciting world of horse racing?
In response to the industry-wide need for an increased number of educated, dedicated grooms, Equine Guelph is pleased to launch the grooms' skills training program called Groom One. Groom One is the first course in the Industry Skills Program and is designed for newcomers to the racing industry who wish to become competent, employable grooms at either a racetrack or a training facility.

Focuses on hands-on training in handling, safety and daily management routines.
March 30 & 31, 2006 (Sunrise Equestrian Centre, Guelph, ON) (Thoroughbred & Standardbred emphasis)
Kemptville College, Kemptville, ON (Standardbred emphasis) (postponed)
May 31 & June 1, 2006 (Norse Ridge Farms, King Township, ON) (Thoroughbred & Standardbred emphasis)
Register Now: Cost for 2-day session is $175.00. Lunch: Brown bag, please bring your own lunch each day. Space is limited so sign-up quickly to avoid disappointment. Participants are asked to provide own transportation as sessions will be held at various locations.
