"Widen the Circle" for equine welfare |
We Challenge you to 'Widen the Circle' ... Equine Guelph's successful welfare program is expanding to include several exciting tools and an app. Equine welfare is an important priority for every association and club to intertwine in all programs, rules and procedures. In 2015, Equine Guelph invites the industry to join us throughout the year as we learn more about the Code of Practice. Each month our enews will focus on a specific chapter of the new National Code of Practice for Equine Welfare, giving you the keys to the code. |

In partnership with the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, Equine Guelph is developing an equine welfare educational initiative, "Full-Circle-Responsibility", which stands to benefit the welfare of horses in both the racing and non-racing sectors. |
||
Development of equine welfare training tools is being funded in part through Growing Forward 2 (GF2), a federal-provincial-territorial initiative. The Agricultural Adaptation Council assists in the delivery of GF2 in Ontario. | ||
